2. Explore a hidden river canyon at Jeram Berungut

Jeram Berungut is a beautiful hidden canyon deep within Kenaboi state park. It’s nicknamed the ‘Malaysia Lord of the Rings’ due to its striking similarities to the Argonath.

To get here, you need to take a 4×4 to the starting point in Kem Sg Kering, before trekking a few hours in the jungle to the waterfall.

21. See Lata Kijang, Negeri Sembilan’s tallest waterfall

Yet another hidden waterfall in Kenaboi state park, Lata Kijang is Negeri Sembilan’s tallest waterfall at 80m tall.
Not to be confused by Lata Kinjang in Perak, this majestic waterfall can be accessed by a dirt road, but a 4×4 is advisable. There are camping grounds and toilets if you wish to camp here.

22. Cross a bridge over the sea to Pulau Burung

A tiny island just off the coast of Pantai Cahaya Negeri, it’s also one of the few mangrove forest reserves in Port Dickson. The bridge that connects the island to the mainland is quite instaworthy and provides plenty of photo opportunities.
On the island itself, there are walkways and watchtowers to get a more upclose look at rare flora and fauna native to mangrove forests.

25. Peer into a telescope and gaze upon the stars at Balai Cerap Teluk Kemang

Here’s one for those budding astronomers out there. The only observatory in Malaysia that’s opened to the public, it boasts having the largest and most powerful telescope in Malaysia.
The best time to come is during a cloudless starry night, where you can have a look through the telescope to spot other planets in the solar system. There’s an insightful exhibit for those wishing to learn more about the cosmos.
