There are tons of attractions and hotels here, however there are also spots in and around Genting Highlands where you can pitch your tent and get closer to nature. 1. YunKai Campsite

Tucked amidst bountiful organic vegetable farms and rolling verdant hills at an elevation of 850 meters above sea level, YunKai campsite is certainly one of the more picturesque spots to camp on this list. Offering a spacious camping ground that’s equipped with clean toilets and kitchen, the spectacular views and crisp mountain air provides a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. It can get unbearably cold and windy here at night, with temperatures sometimes dipping below 20 degrees, so be sure to pack for cold weather.

Located a little ways off the main road on the way to Genting Highlands, getting here with your own vehicle is currently not possible due to bad road conditions, however convenient transfers by 4×4 from the carpark to campsite are provided.

This private campsite is diminutive in size but packs in lots of thoughtful amenities like toilets with hot shower, power points, kitchen sinks and more that would make any camper happy. Situated within the confines of a protected forest reserve in the highlands, the climate here is pleasant during the day and surprisingly chilly during the night.

Located on the way to Genting Highlands, this quaint resort mainly offer chalet and dome stays, however do also provide a small camping grounds for you to pitch your tent upon request. 4. Kaki Bukit Genting Campsite

Situated about 15 minutes drive from Gohtong Jaya (halfway between Genting Highlands and Batang Kali), Kaki Bukit Genting Rosyabillah (or Kaki Bukit Genting for short) is ideal for seasoned campers who enjoy being surrounded by nature. Flanked by a gentle river, the camping grounds here are spacious enough to accommodate several large tents, and offer thoughtful facilities like toilets, prayer rooms and electricity.

Take note that you will need to get your feet wet to get here, as the campsite is located on the opposite side of the river. You can also opt for their sister campsite nearby, that’s closer to the main road and can accommodate camper vans.

5. Jeram Ngenjur

A secluded campsite encircled by a calm river, Jeram Ngenjur is great for those who wants to temporarily disconnect from the modern world and get closer to nature. The facilities here are quite basic, offering toilets and lots of space to pitch your tents but little else. A muddy dirt trail connects the campsite to the main road, getting here by a 4×4 is advisable. You can either drive your own, or pay a little extra to hitch a ride with the 4×4 transports provided by the campsite.
