Do you remember how long it was since Genting Highlands Outdoor Theme Park last welcomed visitors? 2013. No kidding! It’s been almost 8 years since then! Finally, at long last here’s some good news for those who’s been waiting in anticipation for its reopening!
In a recent announcement, this beloved outdoor theme park now has a new name: it will now be called Genting SkyWorlds! In a symbolic gesture leading up to the opening of Southeast Asia’s most anticipated theme park this year, Resorts World Genting recently unveiled the logo of Genting SkyWorlds (as pictured below)

Slated for opening in Q2 of 2021, Genting SkyWorlds will be an exciting, immersive outdoor theme park at an elevation of 1,800 meters above sea level! This is set to make Genting SkyWorlds one of the most unique theme parks in the region, if not globally.
The highly anticipated theme park will take visitors on a sky-high adventure through nine movie and adventure inspired ‘worlds’ – Eagle Mountain, Central Park, Liberty Lane, Robots Rivet Town, Andromeda Base, Ice Age, Studio Plaza, Epic and Rio. Each world will feature a host of exciting rides and attractions for the whole family to enjoy!

We, for one, can’t wait until the day of its reopening to try out all the exciting rides on offer while putting on our nostalgia goggles! In the meanwhile, check out this recently released sneak peek of what to expect from the outdoor theme park soon!
